Neurodynamics

You only realize that movement is not so simple when you start experiencing discomfort.

Neurodynamics is a specialization that focuses on the treatment of disorders in nerve tissue. In addition to joints, muscles, and tendons, nerves also need to move along with body movements. It is therefore crucial that the nervous system can move freely and withstand mechanical forces generated by bodily postures and movements.

This is made possible by the mechanical and physiological properties of the nervous system and the interaction between them. This mobility of the nervous system is called neurodynamics. When this mechanism fails, the nervous system is no longer able to function properly, which can be accompanied by peripheral neurogenic pain (radiating pain to, for example, arms or legs). A neurodynamic treatment may then be indicated. The neurodynamic treatment method is applied by our manual therapist and osteopath.
