MedifitReha is the first clinic on the Costa Blanca to make it possible to rehabilitate cardiac problems under professional supervision.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme is designed for patients who:
- have received an AICD (Spanish DAI), which is an implanted internal defibrillator
- have undergone open-heart surgery (bypass or heart valve surgery)
- having angina pectoris, pressure, or chest pain due to narrowing of the arteries of the heart, the so-called coronary vessels
The general premises of the cardiac rehabilitation programme are:
- Customised care: everyone is unique and deserves a programme tailored to their specific needs.
- Group care: the presence of fellow-sufferers and a possible partner considerably enhances the effectiveness of the programme.
- Multidisciplinary approach: the specific knowledge of the various disciplines involved provides enormous added value.
