The burnout treatment helps you regain control of your life within 10 weeks. It provides you with insights to recognize the signs of burnout and helps you understand how you got here. We’ll equip you with the tools you need to walk the path of recovery.

Stay and Treatment at Medifit La Sella Center
During the burn-out program, you’ll stay on a full board basis at the Medifit La Sella center located in Denia. Here you will be treated in modern treatment rooms, exercise spaces, and the indoor swimming pool. We also make use of the outdoor air and the beautiful nature.
The program has been developed with the aim of helping you in all areas so that you feel resilient and combative again. We do this with a team of professionals.
We focus on restoring your physical and mental balance. We teach you to organize your activities well so that you can enjoy life again, taking into account the balance between personal and work happiness.
Burn-out Symptoms
Various complaints are signs of a possible burn-out. This includes signs of both mental and physical complaints. Not every complaint necessarily means that you are dealing with a burn-out, but if you get several of these signals, it might be wise to visit your general practitioner. The complaints that Some mental complaints you can recognize in a burn-out are as follows:

This is How the Personal Burn-out Program is Structured:
Your personal program looks as follows:
- Intake
We always start with an intake interview. This conversation takes place with, among others, the rehabilitation doctor, psychologist, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. We conduct the intake interview online before you come to our center. In these conversations, your complaints are mapped out. We look at what the causes of these complaints are and set goals for the treatment.
- Personal Treatment Plan
We create the personal treatment plan based on the intake interview. It outlines how we will guide you. When you arrive at our health center, we can start right away.
- Treatment
For the treatment of burn-out, we use different models and methodologies. This depends on the approach that suits you. Some models are:
- Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Model
- Stress-Coping Model
- Demand-Control-Support Model
- Self-Determination Theory (SDT) Model
- Neurobiological Model
- Vitality Model
- ACT Model (Acceptance Commitment Therapy)
- Evaluations
During the interim evaluations, we look at how you’re doing during the treatment. We regularly hold a multidisciplinary consultation (MDC) with all healthcare providers. This is done to adjust the treatment plan if necessary.
- Preparing for Return Home
During your treatment at our location, we teach you various techniques. These are designed to help you manage daily life when you return home.
- Online Home Care
When you are back home, the care provider(s) will continue to offer online coaching. This coaching focuses on what you need most.

Step 1: Why Is Our Approach So Successful?
To provide effective treatment, we start with a thorough analysis of the causes of your complaints. This includes:
- Medical and neurological anamnesis (what happened?)
- Nutritional consultation
- Psychological examination
- Blood circulation test (treadmill test)
- Vestibular and ocular examination (VOMS test)
- Spinal examination
Step 2: Creating a Personal Treatment Plan
Based on the examination results, an individual treatment program is developed in consultation with medical specialists. This may include:
- Cognitive physiotherapy
- Manual physiotherapy
- Orofacial therapy
- Medical training therapy
- Psychotherapy
- Nutritional advice
- tDCS (transcranial stimulation)
- Relaxation therapy
- Audiovisual training
- Yoga
- Mindfulness
During the treatment process, progress is continuously monitored and adjusted as needed through regular evaluations and interdisciplinary consultations.
Personal Burn-out Program
The burn-out program lasts 10 weeks in total. You’ll stay at our location for 2 to 6 weeks. The remaining weeks, treatment takes place online. Both on-site and online, you’ll be treated by the professionals you need. Examples of treating staff include: psychologist, physiotherapist, lifestyle coach, burn-out coach, and occupational therapist.
The treatment you receive depends on the symptoms you’re experiencing. During the intake interview, we’ll determine which treatment is right for you. Based on the cause(s) of your burn-out, we’ll consider which treatments are suitable for you.
Scientifically-Based Rehabilitation
Our method is based on scientific research and takes into account specific training zones. We never work in the so-called “danger zone”, where overstimulation worsens. Instead, we treat within safe and effective zones, where controlled exposure to stimuli contributes to recovery. Studies show that this approach is most effective for the treatment of Burn-out.
Program Duration
Preparation (1 to 2 weeks): Online intakes with a rehabilitation doctor, psychologist, and dietitian to optimally tailor the treatment.
On-site (2, 4, or 6 weeks): Intensive burn-out treatment at our rehabilitation center. The first week focuses on diagnostics and further analysis of the causes. Based on this, a targeted treatment strategy is determined.
Aftercare (3 months): Online consultations and a training program to support your recovery and reintegration into daily life. This can be supported by: the psychologist, physiotherapist, lifestyle coach, burnout coach and/or occupational therapist. The treatments you receive depend on the cause(s) of your burnout.
